The major problem why there are lots of illegal settlers in the major cities is their perception that there is more job and much higher salary. The Philippine economy has continued to grow since President Ramos took over the presidency. President Ramos was driven by his dream to make the Philippines as one of the fastest growing countries in Asia. He did not fail in achieving his goal for the country, since the Philippines was able to attract investors to bring in money into the economy. This resulted to an increased capital investment in the country, allowing the Philippines to be labeled as the Tiger Economy of Asia. This makes the Philippines an attractive venue for foreign and local investors, despite the current situation of the Thai currency. This is also the perfect time for investors to engage in projects that would result to higher returns in the future, as they would be able to capture all the benefits during the upswing of the economy. During a period of low economic activity, current investors may adopt the “wait and see attitude”, while risk-taking investors would consider investing in the country since the Philippines is believed to endure crisis due to its fast growing economy and live up to its label as the Asia’s Tiger Economy.…

I consider this as a good news for us Filipinos. We may not feel the economic growth for now but it’s actually a good thing that we have indicators of how well or poor our economy is doing. This article only means that we will now be able attract more investors to invest in the Philippines. More foreign investors means more job opportunities just like jobs for construction workers. And yes, it is not permanent but if this will continue, life will be a lot easier for the future generations. Our concern should not just be for ourselves but for the future of our country. We need to work the common good. We should all be positive in dealing with our problems and consider news like this as a blessing. More positive news like this is an indication that our economy is doing very well. It feels really good to know that this is actually happening. Despite all that we have encountered in the past years, during the past administration, we are still able to survive and are trying to improve even more. If we really want to contribute to the growth of our economy, we should learn to be productive. Don’t contribute to the growing rate of unemployment. Look for a stable job instead to help feed your family and in that simple way, you can greatly help the economy of our nation. Anything worth having is worth working hard for. Those things that we have quickly achieved will not last long. So we have to continue to work hard for ourselves and for other people. And little by little, we will be able to save our nation. Let us believe in what our leader can do and what we can do for our country. News like this is favorable to us. This only means that our President is really trying to fulfill his promises.…

    Economic Problems

Major economic problems in the Philippines are very similar to the economic problems in other underdeveloped countries. Some of the major pinpointed problems are the import-export imbalance, causing those who specialize in trade and make their living off of imported and exported goods to lose money. The imbalance causes families that are forced to survive off of this small income to wonder if they are going to eat the next week or not. One week there are plenty of orders to keep a family and company afloat; the next, there are no orders, causing the family and companies to suffer.Decline of the Philippine peso, which is the value of the money in the Philippines. The lack of business versus the amount of pesos in the small country simply do not add up. In order for families to purchase anything in the Philippines, they have to have several hundred pesos to equal the value of what ever it is they are attempting to purchase. The pesos are equal to less than that of the Mexican peso.Reliance on remittances. This is when the companies in the Phillips attempt to sell and distribute goods over seas, with other workers from the countries. The Filipinos work in a different country and forward monies back to the homeland, where the company is based out of. This prevents the countries - the foreign and home - from taking out excessive taxes and fees for importing and exporting goods. These are just some of the major problems concerning the Philippines. More information on this country can be found at www.buzzle.com. Individuals continue to suffer daily, and struggle throughout daily life. There are several charities set up through the United States in an attempt to assist these families that desperately need help with simple survival skills. For more information, please…
