THESIS STATEMENT: People should visit the Philippines because of its landscape, food and locals.
Topic: Why You Should Visit the Philippines

Introduction:
A. “It’s More Fun in the Philippines”
B. What makes it more fun in the Philippines?

II Body:
The Philippines is one of the most beautiful countries with islands and beaches that anybody will find great to visit. Travelling to this country is surely going to open up your eyes to new culture and the way that Filipinos live. With over seven thousand one hundred islands, well actually depending on the tide, the Philippines is an affordable place to visit for anyone who wants to experience warm hospitality, great scenery and extraordinary cuisines. People should visit the Philippines because of its landscape, food and locals.

1. Philippine Landscape
Philippines has so much to offer when it comes to its landscape because as you can simply island hop through 7,000 different islands and they all provide you with different looks. Whether you want brown sand, white sand, or even pale cream sand, the Philippines will have it. From the perfect coned volcano to the deepest trenches of the Philippine Sea, topographically the Philippines is blessed with different kinds of land formations, water sanctuaries and some mysterious caves. With this kind of terrain, no question that it is home to some activities you might enjoy like, scuba diving, some surfing, perhaps a jump on a water ski may pleasure you or how about mountainous trekking, hiking’s and some variety of countless activities you could think of.
With all the sandy beaches and treacherous terrains you crossed and all the activities you’ve enjoyed why not try stopping by and try some local foods to charge you up.

2. The Food Is More Than Good
Another primary reason for visiting other countries is obviously the scenery. But, in the Philippines there is an extra treat, the food. Try their famous adobo, the soup from their sinigang and the crispy lechon and you’ll probably have problems with your diet again. How about their exotic foods, tamilok and grubs. Their street foods, the world famous “balut”, walkman (pig ears), adidas (chicken feet), IUD (chicken intestines). Only the feather and the nail of a chicken are not found edible by some Filipinos. Sometimes chicken bones are also the deep fried for consumption. Take note that if you visit the Philippines you will not die of hunger surely you will gain pounds but it’s not a reason to take it for granted.

3. Distinctive Filipino
Lastly, if you have visited other countries, you most likely have felt the awkward barrier between you and the locals. However, in the Philippines, you will never feel this because everyone is very welcoming and hospitable. Filipinos have always been known for their smiles that can warm people’s heart. They can even smile during times of adversity. A simple slip of the tongue, a fall on the chair, a wrong facial expression sometimes would not bring out only a smile but even laughter to them. People living in shanties, push carts, people deep on water during a flood - show them your camera and automatically they smile and even waving at times. Sometimes, I even wonder why? Filipinos are also creative, their crafts and arts are unique and truly a work of master craftsmen. The Iconic Jeepney for example, a world war vintage vehicular army jeep use to transport soldiers but trough Filipinos ingenuity they transformed the war transport into a all purpose local transport.

Conclusion: There are many reasons to visit the Philippines and having fun is one of them, fun depends on how the people define it, a certain perspective perhaps is the basis of fun, but I certainly assure you that Philippines has it. If there was one country that you wanted to visit next, the Philippines is definitely where you need to go. And do it soon.

Thetis, a sea-nymph, and King Peleus were getting married. All the gods and goddesses were invited to the ceremony, except Ate, goddess of discord. She was not invited because she had a bad temper and often ruined parties. When the gods and goddesses discovered she had come to the ceremony anyways, she was kicked out. Upon leaving, she left a golden apple on a table, with a note reading “to the fairest”. All the goddesses began fighting over it, as they all thought they were the fairest. Eventually, it was narrowed down to three goddesses: Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. The three asked Zeus to decide, but he would not because no matter which one he chose, his answer would seem biased. So he told Hermes to bring them to Mt. Ida to see Paris, the prince of Troy. The goddesses gave him the apple and told him to give it to the fairest. Athena was the first to speak and said that if he chose her, she would give him wisdom and glory in the eyes of men and gods. Hera spoke next and promised him power and wealth. Aphrodite was the last and promised him a wife as pretty as she was. Paris chose Aphrodite.…
