Dog and Pets
Pets should be treated like family members.

I know people that consider their pets a part of their families. I strongly agree with that stance towards the animals we have in our homes. For me, treating a pet like a family member is a good lesson in responsibility. In addition, this attitude makes the animals we possess feel happier, and guarantees their being satisfied with our care.

We should treat pets like members of our families, because the animals that we take care of give us lessons in responsibility. One knows (YOU KNOW) that there is somebody but himself (APART FROM YOURSELF) to look after. Thus we learn how to look after our future families. In addition, pets teach us qualities like patience and understanding.

People should consider his pet (THEIR PETS AS) a family member, as the animal they possess (OWN) will feel happier this way. Pets like cats and dogs are aware of the attitude their master has towards them. They feel better when they are paid more attention. Plus, (IN ADDITION) when you think of your cat as of some (ONE) of your relatives you will never dare to torture it.

Pets should be granted (PAID THE ATTENTION) with the attention that we bestow to our families, and thus their health will be benefited (BENEFIT). One (YOU) will never dare to leave his (YOUR) dog hungry if he accepts it as a part of the home. Many people ignore the animals they have at home. However, pets need care, nutrition, and attention. I think that it is not right to buy a living being that will depend on you, and make it suffer because of your lack of responsibility.

The people that I know think that pets should be treated like family members. I agree with them. Not only is that good for the animals’ health and mood, but also it teaches us

Purdue University states that “The Human-Animal bond is the dynamic relationship between people and animals in that each influences the psychological or physiological state of the other” (“Center”). The Human-Animal bond is essential to the well-being of society. Animals can affect people in many different ways, specifically by providing companionship. This bond has existed for thousands of years, though people’s relationship with animals is much different today than it was in the past. The main reason that the relationship has changed is the concept of owning pets, which is relatively new (Reinisch). The concept of pet ownership has changed the way people see animals because instead of thinking of animals as…

So far we've been staring at the situation from a Human POV, but animals are also living creatures; with needs that have to be taken care of by us, the highest intellectual being. It has been proven that animals have emotions, not expressed as our own, but they can be happy, sad, angry, hungry, hurt. It is unfair and an abuse that humans are so self centered focusing only in themselves, and not in the other third of living creatures. Animals should be loved and cherished, especially dogs and cats, as they can bring immense joy to any family. They can become your next Netflix Pal, or your Running Coach, or even your Cuddle Buddy when you're having a rough…

We bring dogs into our lives and our families, but they cannot be treated exactly like a family member. They are brought into the family, not born into it, so we have to adjust to their presence when they become part of the family. They have certain restrictions that a normal family member would not have. Dogs are not allowed to go into certain parts of the house because they may pee in those areas.…

Animals have provided humans with the things they need to survive so in return humans should show animals the respect they deserve. Animals need to stop being treated like objects, instead of living creatures that are dying so that the human race may live on. Animals that give companionship to people should be respected as well. A pet should not be abused when all it does is love and make people happy. If someone is thinking of getting a pet, adopting a rescue animal from a shelter is just one step an individual person can take in ending puppy mills and all the cruelty that goes on inside them. Animals are not something that should to be taken for granted, but instead as a gift to the human…

The obsessed group of dog owner's doesn't seem to know how odd it is that they treat the dog better than other human family members. You have your pet lovers that love their pets so much that the dog is treated better than other members of the family. These dogs get specialized meals; sometimes the special meal consists of human food and at times can be hand-fed by a human. They will get the privilege of sitting "shotgun" in the vehicle and the human members of the family must sit elsewhere. There are people who let their dog have the other half of the marriage bed rather than the spouse. A lot of the time the dog doesn't have toys because their owners cuddle them so much that that is all they want. Don't believe me? I've seen it on the TV talk show Dr. Phil.…
