MYER-BRIGGS PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT:
PERSONALITY TYPE: INFJ
The Myer-Briggs personality test was very interesting. I learned a few new things about myself. Things that I did not recognize or realize about myself that the personality test had revealed. Now that I know more about my personality type, I can use this material and possibly grow from it. It is hard to get me excited, but when I had read that a counseling career would suite me, I was ecstatic because I am being lead by the Lord in that direction to learn how to counsel others in a Christian Biblical Worldview perspective.
A counselor has a strong desire to contribute to the welfare of others, and find great personal fulfillment interacting with people, nurturing their personal development, and to guide them to realize their human potential. [ (Keirsey.com) ]
INFJ is short for Introvert, Intuition, Feeling, and Judgment. The introvert part of me helps me to be at ease. I take what I see into mind and study it. Instead of exploiting it, telling the whole world whether it is bad or whether it is good, I take it all in, and I savor it for the right moment for when or if it is useful to share. I have a gift of intuition. I can recognize someone’s emotions or intentions, good or evil, even before the person is aware of them. Even though it is said “feelings are not facts”, I can still base things off the feelings I get. Those Intuitions I feel is God's way to reciprocate to me His spoken word. My feelings are usually expressed in my facial expressions or in my body language. My feelings tend to get hurt easily, but I take it as whatever it is and move on. I do not obsess or stay in those feelings. When making judgment calls I would rather someone else do it. I feel as though I am a natural born leader and I can make good judgments, but I do not like to be the center of attention, so I will back it up a bit and let others also get involved.
