Philosophical Foundation of a Personal Worldview
The foundation of your personal worldview is very simple. You as a person believe what you believe because that’s how you were taught. No one makes you believe what you believe; we all have a choice.
Yes, I do believe that there is a higher being somewhere in the universe. It may not matter to a lot or most people but it definitely matters to me. It matters to me because one day there will be a judgment day regardless if we want it to be or not. There’s no perfect way of living your life but how you choose to live your life it does matter. I know what I know to this day because I was taught by my parents. We were a family that was strongly Christian like. I may not have understood a lot things when I was younger but now that I’m older a lot of things that I’m still taught I understand more. Yes, there is something beyond the physical, material world and beyond physics. The thought of existence beyond what we feel, have and believe in life.
There’s no right or wrong way that you should behave in life. God gave us the 10 commandments for a reason but I don’t believe that if you were to disobey a commandment that you would solely go to hell. One thing that I do know is that our God is a forgiving God. There’s no complete way of living your life. I say just live your life as such: Live life to the fullest with no regrets but live it in the way that God will approve! There are many people in the world that view the world differently and live it differently. I’m not one to judge how a person lives. A person is very free to make decisions from some prior circumstances. I feel a person should base a lot of how they live by their worldview. Meaning I’m a Christian, I’m not going to be out here killing, stealing etc. I’m not quite sure if other worldviews have commandments because I haven’t studied as deep as I should.
