Personal Values Paper
After taking the Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory self-assessment, I now have a better understanding of my personal values and how I tend to make decisions based on my ethical views. I also have seen how Kudler’s Fine Foods also seem to care about the same ethical issues as I do. My most pronounced view I have is when it comes to values and the obligation we have, and I see that Kudler Fine Foods, also treats its employees with certain level of respect as an obligation to right they have for others. This was made very clear when in the business plan the explain that the owner continues to have one-on-one contact with all of the company employees. I believe that I would only make this organization be better placed in the market since the company respects its employees just as much as they respect their customers.
I personally tend to do a lot of judging whether a person’s actions are ethical or not. I usually try to better understand why a person may choose to do certain things. In other words; I try to better understand the reasons for their actions. I believe that this ethical tendency that I naturally have would only help Kudler’s Fine Foods do well because I will make sure that its personnel focuses on making sure they do what it’s right for the customers instead of focusing on the end results such as making the most profit from a sale as possible. This company it’s trying to make itself be known for catering to the savvy specialized shopper who enjoys cooking and eating authentic foods from different parts of the world.
I also find very important that w show the upmost respect for others. I believe that ethical principles must always follow a high level of respects for others regardless of your circumstances, and I also feel that all humans deserve human dignity.
