Ethics involve several facets such as differentiating what is right or wrong, based on what values and personal beliefs an individual may have. Situations will arise where people will need to make the “right” decision. Some times, people are put into situations, which their ethical decisions keep them impartial or neutral. Working at Kudler Fine Foods or a call center, as a manager ethics are essential for creating a strong workforce working together for the same goals for the company. Demonstrating ethical behavior will create an honest and trustful environment for both customers and employees. Valuing the workforce and customers, will provide employee, and customer satisfaction.
The Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory, analyzes responses to a set of questions, in four sections called: Category, Obligation, Results and Equity, the acronym is CORE. This inventory examines the information closely to see how one’s decision can either be for the right or wrong reasons. After taking the inventory assessment, this helped me to gain insights into my own ethical perspective with decision-making. My ethical perspective is obligation, which means my decision-making is more on what is morally right and I look closely at the intent of actions more so than focusing on results (The Williams Institute, 2006).
