Abstract
The Ethics Awareness Inventory survey, allowed me to identify my values using the C.O.R.E. system from the William Institute’s online evaluation survey. I consider what values a business like Kudler Fine Foods would have as an organization. I will show how my values align and in some cases conflict with that of Kudler Fine Foods in addition the effect my values would have on my performance as a manager of Kudler Fine Foods and the things I can take away (learn) as well.
An Ethics Awareness Inventory can be interpreted as a program in which one's ethical style is discovered based on a series of questions in which the answers help to categorize your particular ethical style. (Williams Institute, 2010)
As individuals we all have our own interpretation of ethics. The Ethics Awareness Inventory helps us to determine our values with respect to ethics. What we each deem as right and wrong, our ethical perspectives , and how they impact our decisions. These decisions can be some of the things we would make as a manager, that can impact a business or staff.
My Values
The Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory Assessment helped to determine my CORE beliefs which also translates to decisions that I make based on my Character, Obligation, Results, and Equity score.
The Ethics Awareness Inventory Scoring Summary I took, resulted in an ethic profile score of most closely aligning with (O) obligation, and a least closely aligning with (E) Equity. The ethics awareness profile lists my perspective as obligation to duty to do what is morally right. The principles that represent what being a rational person would morally do in a given event sums up my ethical perspectives. I tended to look at a person's intent, rather than focusing on the result of that action. (Williams Institute, 2010)
