      Kudler Fine Foods (KFF) is a gourmet grocery store for the San Diego area that offers products of excellent quality. Kathy Kudler established the company in 1998 and operates three stores in La Jolla, Del Mare, and Encinitas in California. Her vision is “to create one store that would stock a wide selection of the freshest ingredients as well as all of the tools a gourmet cook could ever want” (Kudler Internet, 2010, p. 1). Because KFF is very customer-oriented the business offers products in every department possible: bakery, meat, seafood, organic produce, dairy, and even wine. In addition to the three grocery and kitchen appliances stores, the company is involved in the catering business. The company’s strategic plan is based on entering new markets and offering new products. Therefore, a new manager for the purchase and inventory department is hired and tries to develop a good communication and work relationship with the president, Kathy Kudler. Because values such as social responsibility, equality, and respect are important for the company, the individual beliefs should reflect the same ethical approach to decision-making.
