Personal Statement

I have chosen to study International Tourism with Marketing because I strongly believe it is a career that would fit me perfectly.
In the last 6 years of my life things have changed a lot, but my dream of continuing to travel around the world is gaining momentum. My father's job provided our family with great opportunities to move to, and live in different countries. We lived in Mongolia, then went to Australia for almost 1 year, later moved to Kazakhstan, and then I went to Spain last year, and my parents moved to Oman.
I believe studying at Middlesex University will give me the best education, resources and information to help me become a successful professional. British education is known as some of the very best in the world, and I would love take advantage of this opportunity.
And why London? London has become a beautiful, modern and influential place and its market grows more and more each year. Studying in London would give me a great deal of experience in my chosen area. Most tourists who come to London either make short visits or spend long holidays there.
When I complete the course I would like to stay in London and work with tourism, agencies and event managers. I believe that to study and work in this area, one needs to get along with others, be patient, have a passion for whatever you are doing and must also enjoy travelling and have the ability to adapt to places easily.
Earlier this year I had a great experience working in a 5-star hotel in the north of Spain in the F&B Department for 4 months. It definitely helped me to decide what I really wanted to do. Being surrounding by clients was enjoyable, although dealing with complaints could be frustrating; however I still loved what I was doing.   My experiences helped me realise that I wanted more, and thought that International Tourism with Marketing would be the best choice for my future career.
