PERSONAL STATEMENT.
In 2004 I was in Luton & Dunstable hospital giving birth to my son, during this time I received a lot of support from staff, since I had a planned caesarean delivery. During this time it cross in my mind that one day I would like to work with the NHS trust due to my good personal experience with consultants and doctors and be able to serve the community. I would like to advance my career in Health and social care in order to work with public health consultants.
I have been in social care sector for the last 14yrs, during this time I have learned how to treat people as individuals and this has given me a passion and elevated my self esteem. Having been in the care sector I also endured to work with different cultures/diversity within the community which has given me wide intensity and knowledge of working in large groups of different needs in our community.
My experience with different organization as senior manager has promoted my management skills in relation to good communication skills, interpersonal skills and being proactive while dealing with staff. I have managed different care sectors which have made me broaden my knowledge within the community in relation to treating people with respect and acknowledging their choices. My job has made me gain confidence as a person and increased my value within the community. Previously I had owned my own care agency for a period of 5 years and I created a lot of jobs opportunities, and supported people with learning disability. At times I gained a lot of culture exposure since I recruited staff from different diversity. I was the registered Director of the company and responsible of all the marketing in the company.
Currently, I am managing a group of 6 staff where I am responsible for co-ordinating 200 care homes within the country. My current position has helped me to deal with difficult situations. I have learnt how to control my emotions and how to liaise with external agencies in... [continues]
