Nowadays, most teenagers are influenced by their friends, and they start relying more on their friends than their families. Many programs like movie, TV show, games or any other entertainments show us many violent scenes, and these entertainments affect many teenagers. Many teenagers before the age of 15, would have tried smoking or drinking or sex under the peer pressure. I would like to talk about how these three things smoking, drinking and having sex, influence teenagers.
First of all, drinking nowadays, become extremely popular among teenagers. Research shows that 70% of party held by teenagers, serve alcohol as beverage. And the problem is that there are no adult supervision, so they drink nonstop with the lack of information about the dangers of drinking. This problem can lead to drink driving as well. Drinking is also bad for our kidney and you wouldn’t be able to control ourselves when we get drunk. According to Article Alley, “Drinking too much alcohol too quickly, can cause the valve to swell and close, causing vomiting. Alcoholic beverages causes damage to the liver and kidneys. Even a small amount starts the problem. The system considers alcohol as a poison, and works really hard to remove it from the vicinity. This overworks the liver and kidneys and prevents them from doing their primary job.” Drinking could be caused by peer pressure. Some teenagers are asked to drink alcohol, but they just refuse them for their health. However, teenagers are afraid of being left out, so they would eventually drink. That’s how peer pressure works.
Secondly, most teenagers would have tried smoking under the peer pressure and curiosity. Teenagers think that smoking is very cool, and therefore they are tempted to try it. Even though, you do not want to try these things, the environment around you cause you to try it once. So that’s how it starts.
