Peer Editing Assessment
1.   The first peer assessment I received was extremely helpful. The type of feedback that was helpful was what focused on weaknesses. While I often can pinpoint what many of my weaknesses are I cannot always figure out how to go about fixing them. This review helped me re-evaluate my argument, which was lacking, in order to make it a lot stronger and easier to work with.   I should now be able to support my argument more concretely and in a way that makes a lot more sense to the reader. Although I had a good idea of what I was trying to say in my mind, not all of those thoughts made it on to paper. The review helped me decide which of my ideas were strongest and made the most sense with the advertisement. I learned that as a writer my strongest concepts tend to come towards the end. The beginning of my paper seems to be more like exploring the ideas and they help me with coming up with the more concrete notions.   I also noticed that I do not always get straight to the point when writing, so I hope to be more concise in future essays. I would like more feedback on my ideas and how they flow together. I would rather not receive suggestions on fixing grammatical or spelling errors because those are more easily dealt with if I take more time to review the paper.
The second peer assessment I received was not nearly as helpful as the first. I received comments saying that my argument was pretty clear and strong. This was not helpful because I was already intending to change my argument based on the first review I received.   The helpful feedback I received was along the lines of what I should focus on.   Focus more on the stronger support rather than the weak point that I tried to elaborate unnecessarily on.   This helped me narrow down what ideas I should keep for my final essay.
