Paper

Summer is my favorite time of the year. This is a season that is full of my best memories. It’s the time of year that’s full with a lot of exiting and relaxing activities. Such as pool parties, sleep over’s, and family vacations. It’s a time when I get to reunite with family members that I haven’t seen all year.

During the summer time I get to stay up all night and sleep in all morning; rolling out of bed just in time to do my chores before I hear my mother’s voice roaring throughout the house. Once my chores are completed my day begins. Sometimes my mom surprises me by completing my chores and allowing me to stay in bed. On these days she cooks a big breakfast for the entire family. At breakfast there is a lot of joking and laughing going on. At times I go too far and make my little brother cry. It’s funny to me but not my mom.

Once breakfast is over my summer day begins. When I step outside and the bright sun’s rays warm my skin I know that my day is going to be full of fun activities. Whether it’s going to the skate station, the beach, water parks, amusement parks, family gatherings, or just reading a book life during the summer is awesome. Last summer I read a series of saga books called, “Twilight”. These books consist of vampires, werewolves, and a girl named Bella. I loved reading these books because it allowed me and my mom to start our own book club.

I don’t know about everyone else but I can’t wait until the summer gets here. The bright shining sun puts a smile on my face and it calms my nerves, even the ones that my bother gets on. It appears that I love him more during this season because he pays me less attention. He’s too busy running around thinking he’s a soldier at war than an 8 year old boy. Sometimes my mom has to bring him back to reality before he gets run over by the cars that are driving by.

Even now at the end of January I am counting down waiting for June 10th to come around again.
