An alarm clock starts ringing. MARLON'S hand hand reaches out to turn off the alarm. He is shown in bed struggling to get up.

He gets up and goes to the bathroom and takes a bath.
MARLON (V.O.) Marlon Garcia. 16 years old. Nakatira sa Luntaho Village, Cagayan de Oro City.
He exits the bathroom and looks at the mirror.
MARLON (V.O.) Cute, bright, gwapo, cool, buotan pa jud! Naks naman! Pero tan-aw sa akong classmates, nerd ko. Dili kaha!
While he's describing himself, he simultaneously acts the adjectives out (When he says CUTE, he makes a cute pose.
When he says BRIGHT, equations pop out (post-production) and he makes a thinking face. When he says GWAPO, he does a

Marlon is walking around school. While he is walking, people are staring. His best friend, Alex, makes his way over to him. ALEX Hoy, Marlon!
MARLON (V.O.) Siya si Alex. Ang akong best friend. Naa gyud na siya pirme sa akong tapad, umulan man..
FLASHBACK
It's raining, Alex and Marlon are on the streets and are soaking wet. Alex asks for money from Marlon and Marlon is quick to comply.
