This client strategy proposal is developed for Palliative Care Association Miri (PCAM) with the recommended strategies to overcome the issues and challenges that currently faced by the organization. The key issues and challenges include lack of volunteers, limited funds and low awareness from Miri community as well as transportation and accommodation problem. PCAM is a non-profit organization which works hand in hand with the Palliative Care Unit and Clinic in Miri General Hospital. PCAM was established in October 2005 by Dr. Mieckie. Initially, it was established as Palliative Care Home Programme (PCHP) under National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) and became PCAM in January 2008. PCAM is currently located in the Miri General Hospital. PCAM has two components which are Home Care Programme and Day Care Centre. The main objective of Home Care Programme is to provide quality palliative care and support to terminally ill patients and their family at home who living in or around Miri. Whereas, Day Care Centre is to provide social support and improve mental well being of the patient and to help in rehabilitation of the patient as well as to offer respite for patient’s family. Currently, PCAM has a management committee and two full time nurses. Last but not least, this proposal will outline about the key issues and challenges faced by PCAM, follow by the target market, research strategies and campaign strategies. Then, the budget of the campaign strategies is clearly summarized in this proposal and the implementation timeframe is also included at the end of the proposal. Target Market
