How to add New Position Values

Navigate to : Purchasing Super User>Flexfields>Key>Values

Find Values by Value Set. Value Set Name = BEM_POSITION_CODE

Click Find

Enter New Position Values, then Save it

How to Register New Position

Navigate to Purchasing Super User>Setup>Positions

Find Position Name from List of Value, enter Organization and Jobs, the Save it.

How to Attached Position to Employee

Navigate to Purchasing Super User>Setup>Personnel>Employees

If the person is not registered yet, you must register new employee first, but if the person is already in the system, just query the person’s name

Click More..and go to Assignment folder tab

Choose Job name from List of Value before you fill in the position, the job you choose is that the one you define when you register new position.

How to Assign Approval Assignment to Position

Navigate to : Purchasing Super User>Approvals>Approval Assignments

Find the position from the list

Choose Document Type which position has authority to approve specific document.

Assign appropriate Approval Group for its document. For Example : If the position (Treasury Manager) is a POR Requester, then put BEM – REQUESTER)

Save your works

How to Assign Position into Position/Approval Hieararchy

Navigate to : Purchasing Super User>Setup>Personnel>Position Hierarchy

Using F11 (Find Query) and then CTRL + F11 (Execute Query) , you will find desired Position Hierarchy.

For this case, lets take POR approval Hierarchy as example [pic]

Do Not forget to revise the latest version, don’t revise inactive version because it won’t take any effect. (See pictures above, this POR is the first version and it is inactivated). So find the latest version by pressing Down button in your keyboard.

Move the cursor to Position Name, and Press F11 to Query

Tick mark “Exist In Hieararchy” Checkbox. And the pres CTRL + F11 to execute query. This action will cause system will find all person that is in the tree of Position Hierarchy. You can click Up button to see the Ordinates, and Down Button to see the subordinates.

For Example. If you want to put the “Treasury Manger” as subordinates of “Finance Department Head”. Go find the “Finance Department Head” position, then place the Treasury Manager as Subordinate.

After it is done, Save Your Works.

Important :

Your Hieararchy revision & addition, will not take any effect until you run process in conccurent request named “FILL EMPLOYEE HIERARCHY”

Navigate to View>Request>Submit a New Request
