Owning My Photography Business

Many people dream of starting and running their own business during their life time. Each of us have different skills, interests, and abilities. Running a photography business is something I would love to do in the near future. In this paper, I will describe my vision, why I think I would be successful in photography business, and my skills reassure the success of my small business as a sole proprietor. My Vision for this business.
My interest in photography business began with my art courses at Gallaudet University. I majored in Graphic Design field in that school, and then I got a full-time job as graphic artist. I am also running a freelance business as multimedia designer, and the photography oftenly gets in my way as I am completing projects for my clients. I finally realized that running a photography business is what I want to do in the near future. Since I started to take an interest in photography, I have already tried and tested different types, and I am drawn to one of them: portrait photography business. In order to start my portrait photography business, I will need a large amount of money to rent or own a studio that offers a spacious room for my clients where they can pose for a photo freely. A studio will come with lighting system, multi-color muslin backdrops, tripods, and a computer with Adobe products installed on it. Also, I will need some expensive cameras and lens to maximize my goal in photography business. In addition, I would need at least two professional assistant to work for me because I will be running this small business as photographer myself. I would need someone who is specialized in make-up, and setting up a studio prior clients’ arrival. Why do I think I would be successful in this kind of business?
