Abstract

As days are passing, more and more people are increasing which causes overpopulation. It is caused for many reasons such as illiteracy, early marriage, poverty, family planning problem, superstitions, polygamy, etc. These causes create many aftereffects, for example food problem, water shortage, shelter problem, education problem, transport problem, loss of cultivatable land and so on. Bangladesh is not free from this problem. It is facing this as severe curse to the whole nation. However, overpopulation can be overcome if effective steps are taken, people become aware, and nations take this matter seriously. Moreover, if people think positively i.e. consider overpopulation as gift rather than treating it as a burden then overpopulation can do welfare to the societies as well as the world.
