Overclocking a Processor
Overclocking a processor What is overclocking? It is a procedure of increasing your PCs performance by increasing your CPUs/RAMs/Southbridge’s/Northbridge’s/GPUs clock and multiplier (only CPU and RAM) and voltage. In this text I am gonna explain you how can you overclock your CPU and RAM. About others I will maybe explain you some other time. Why would anyone want to overclock (OC) a processor? Because it increases computers performance. But it also increases CPU-s temperature, so it needs a better cooler. Not every motherboard is enabled for OC. So you need a motherboard that is enabled for OC. Heat also needs to get out of a computer, so you need at least 2 extra ventilator for case, and a case should be clean, and it should have a lot of extra room so the hot air could go out of the case. If you decide to OC you will also need more power because higher clocks of your processor take more power. So, you need also a better power supply. All this should be telling you that OC is an expensive, but not really. If you have an old PC just buy a new one. If u can’t afford yourself to buy components that are more expensive than ones that u would buy if you weren't planning to OC, don't even OC. What should you know before you start OC or buying components? 1. If you are not careful, your CPU could start burning, and then it will be no good any more. You will also loose your warranty. 2. Your PC will be hot from inside, and when its summer or a hot day your PC might be overheated, so you will need to lower your CPU-s clock 3. There are differences between OC-ing an Intel and AMD processor, so check which companies product you have, and go to the correct paragraph 4. There is a cooler which you get with processor in its box. It’s not for OC. You will have to buy a better one. I recommend you Scythe Mugen 2, or Thermaltake 120 Extreme Black Edition, but for the second one I recommend you to buy at least 1 ventilator and install it onto the cooler INTEL I am assuming you

Although the processor in my computer was top of the line about 6 months ago, there are already processors on the market that are simply astounding in comparison. The core I7-3960X Extreme edition is the most state of the art Intel processor on the market today, and with a price point of over $1,000 USD, is also the most expensive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116491). The RAM in my computer is certainly comparable to many top of the line products widely available on the market, but I could certainly use an upgrade…

Liquid cooling is an alternative way to cool Central Processing Units (CPU) in comparison to traditional air-cooling that we currently use. Instead of using multiple fans, like that of air cooling, liquid cooling has tubes that go throughout a computer to continually keep the computer running smoothly. The benefit of these tubes is that it allows you to cool specific components within the computer, more than that of air cooling. Keeping the CPU cool, and refreshed is important because an overheated CPU will lead to downtime expenses.…
