Create an outline and introductory paragraph in preparation for writing a complete Personal Plan due in Week Five.
My study habits for college thus far have been substandard. Being a veteran from the United States Army I can not let anything I do end up being substandard. In order to rectify and improve on my overall study habits I will have to create and adhere to a plan of action. In this plan I will create a calendar to organize my time, and my efforts to all of my college studies. I have found that going to my room with my door closed will help to optimize my study habits. My room is a quiet place with very little distractions, so by going to my room I can focus on studying for homework assignments and tests. There is very little I need to do for my reading habits. My comprehension level is very good, but the one thing I can do to help with my comprehension is to read the material two or three separate times. I will read a chapter of one of my books one night, then go over it again a few ours later. By the end of the week, I will have read all the material given to me. I will then go back and read it all over again the night before class. As this can be time consuming, it does not always work for me. I am on a very strict schedule, so I will do what I can to take the material wherever I go. By reading all of the material the night before class I can wake up with everything fresh in my mind. To eliminate all distractions I will go to my room. The T.V. will remain off and there will be no music. I will let me roommate know what I am doing so he can keep the volume of the living room T.V. down. As this plan is new, it is still unknown how well it will work. But with motivation and dedication I know that I can succeed.
