Our society reflects racial, ethnic, and religious diversity.
America is a “melting pot” and constitutionally accepts ever man as equal. America was formed by immigration. In history Americans fought for freedom in race such as the Civil War. The Civil War took place because all people didn't believe in slavery, primarily the North disagreed. In America we have law that America no one can make you practice a religion and the government can't make an official for the country. The American political system is built upon constitutional and representative government. The American political system is made up by our constitutionally right and the right and laws being made and enforce by our representative government. . We have the constitution that promises individual freedom that protects us from overpowering government. The representative government give people input on who is going to represent them for the government. In most governmental votes are done not by public but by your representative government. After elections though the representative government official can pick weather or not to listen to you and follow through with his campaign promises or platforms. For an example in the constitution is states to run for president you have to be a U.S born citizen, at least 35 years old, and must live in the United States for 14 years, but the American people decide who is president based off electral college votes. The American belief in a unique national destiny influences it relations with other nations. America being consider a world leader has the responsibility upon itself to help other counties. America step in when country destroy the basic freedom of theirs citizens, that we highly valued.
