Osmosis: Osmosis is the movement of substances through a partially/semi permeable membrane from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration to balance of the concentration of the two sides. Biological membranes do allow water to pass through, but water will have no net movement unless osmosis takes place.
I have chosen to investigate the factor of the weight of potato strips after set amounts of time.
Why Have I Picked Selected Factor?
I have chosen to investigate this factor because it was a factor that I was given to begin with, the reason why I didn’t use any of the other factors that we discussed with the others was because, me and my Partner disagreed on using any of the other factors, and that’s why I have chosen to stay with this factor.

Sugar Solutions, Glucose, Fructose, Sucrose - (Variables)
Distilled Water Level (Stays the Same.)
Hole Borer – To bore out potato strips from the potato – (Size stays the same.) Water Bath at an Appropriate Temperature – So osmosis can be studied at a steady rate.
Plant Tissue – Potato Strips – Used to show an example of Osmosis – (Stays the same.)
Stopwatch – To count...
