Executive Summary
The aim of this case study is to focus on analyzing the different of culture diversity and structure in IKEA corporation at two countries Sweden and America. As a result, people can understand the important of combining between structure and culture in the organization. I will use the information from many sources such as scenario, websites and books. After analyzing, I reach the following conclusion: 1. The culture and structure of Sweden are focused on interesting in human. On the other hand, America is concentrated on result, do not care about process. 2. The relationship between culture and structure creates the big impact on business activities in both two countries. 3. The factors have different influence individual behaviour at work in IKEA on two countries. 4. The development of management has described based on five theories, from caring about result to interest in human. 5. IKEA Sweden uses human relations approach while IKEA America uses scientific management and classical administration. 6. Swedish’s managers use democratic, laissez-faire, and transformational leadership. Alternatively, American’s managers use autocratic and transactional leadership.
