Introduction
The world is rapidly changing around us. To continually thrive as a business in future we must look ahead. In order to sustain and excel we should understand where we are now, and the trends and the forces that will shape our business in the future and move rapidly to prepare for what is to come. We must get ready for tomorrow today. It is essential to assess our organisation in order to prepare and sustain for a long term as business, and to march together as a team for the accomplishment of a common vision.
Having worked for an automobile dealer corporate in India for the past four years and moved to Ireland recently, I think it will be appropriate selecting my previous company for the assessment and to propose action plans as CEO.
A current organisational chart, a short background of the company, and an assessment of the organisation is given followed by an expanded organisational chart, actions proposed, KFAs (Key focussed Area), changes and recommendations and the way to accomplish the goals.
A short back ground of the organisation.
Popular Vehicles and Services Ltd. Established in 1983-84 was among the first batch of Maruti Udyog (Now Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.) Dealers appointed in India. A subsidiary of the Popular Group which traces its history to 1939 and has interests in automobile spare parts and education. The company has established an envious position in automobile retailing. The group has grown in to a business house with a turnover over 15 billion INR and employee strength above 5200.
Highlights of the company:
* Sells over 3 million Suzuki cars annually in India.
* Services over 15 million cars per year.
* Sales and service outlets in all major districts in south India.
* Overall excellence award winner since inception
