OBJECTIVE OF STUDY
1) To analyze and interpret the scores measuring emotional intelligence (EI), job satisfaction (JS) and work commitment (WC) in managers.
2) To identify the effect of variables like age and gender on Emotional Intelligence.
3) To review similar studies done earlier, and analyze our data in its light.
RATIONALE
This study has been done to find how emotional intelligence affects job satisfaction and work commitment in young professionals. Through this we have also tried to find out EI’s dependence on demographic variables like age and gender.
Factors like job satisfaction and work commitment are very important in today’s work scenario. They affect both, i.e. an employee’s performance as well as the growth of his/her organization.
Therefore, a good understanding of a study like this can help both future employers and employees in ensuring better performance of their organization. Also as the sample is healthy in terms of both size and variability, it can also be used as a reference for future studies.
