We wish to acknowledge and extend our gratitude to Dr. Rahul Varman for allowing us to take up this project; guiding us throughout the project and helping us see the larger picture of organization theory through class discussions.
We express our sincere gratitude towards Dr. Yogesh Nigam, EMO (Emergency Medical Officer), Dr. Alankar, senior resident doctor, all the junior doctors, interns and nursing staff of the Emergency department of LALA LAJPAT RAI HOSPITAL, KANPUR who gave us their valuable time despite their busy schedules. We thank them for sharing their opinions, experiences, statistical data and information which helped us gain insights into the work culture, Standard Operating Procedures, intricacies and complexities of such a large scale organization. Our project has helped us to appreciate this noble profession more and to understand the problems and contingencies confronted by the stakeholders and the methods they adopt to handle them. Besides this, we have also been able to understand and interpret few lacunas in the system and how they adversely affect the overall functioning and efficiency of this organization.
In the end, we thank our friend Ankit Nigam for introducing us to Dr. Yogesh Nigam.
We attribute the success of our project to the comprehensive sessions of interviews with the doctors and the organization theory that we learnt in the lectures by Dr. Rahul Varman in the duration of our course.
