Oprah Winfrey is a famous talk-show host, actress, and producer. Oprah Winfrey begins her final season of the wildly popular The Oprah Winfrey Show on Monday. Winfrey has alluded to grand plans for the introduction to her 25th season, including a dramatic musical opener with actor John Travolta. The duo will enter through the stage doors of her studio dancing to the O'Jays single, "Love Train."
Winfrey announced her plans to leave network television in 2011 last November. She will launch her Oprah Winfrey Network, or OWN, on cable starting January 1, 2011.A special episode about the conclusion of The Oprah Winfrey Show called "Behind the Scenes: Oprah's 25th Season" will air on OWN in 2011. The baby's Aunt Ida chose her name, and "Orpah" (from the Bible) was written on the birth certificate. Because there was a lack of education in the area at the time, the letters in the name "Orpah" were often transposed. The name was often mispronounced too. The name "Orpah" remained on her birth certificate, but she eventually became known as "Oprah...Oprah Gail Winfrey", in fact.

Another little known fact about Oprah Winfrey is, that you will never see her chewing a stick of gum. Ever. Sometime in her childhood, the time in a person's life when fears often start, Winfrey developed a chewing gum phobia.
