INTRODUCTION

Beaver Engineering: The Company
Beaver engineering group was established in early 50’s of this century, with a base situated in Norwich. The company is specialized in high-technology family and précised special purpose machine tools, expanding towards many EU and non-EU countries.

There supply chain management decided to have every item to be single-sourced, in addition to the strategy; they have good relations with the suppliers. As the company follows the Computer-Aided Production Management system (CAPM) for the planning, management and controlling purposes, it helps largely for the inventory management. The production director along with the higher management is doing a reasonable job but there is a need to re-design the structure, planning, JIT, WIP and MRP system implementation requirement to enhance the production quality and getting prepared to deal with complex issues and their inter-relationships.
