This report success of mine couldn’t be turn into reality without this following person who with all their help me in different ways. To all of you, let me acknowledge you, all assign of my department of gratitude to our Almighty God who always guide and light my way in my study, without Him, I can do nothing in the world. To the families and relatives of the trainees for their moral and financial support and for the permission given to me to render my OJT (On the Job Training) at Nissan Shaw, particularly to the Service Department for their help to expose the trainees in the actual field of automotive. To Mrs Engr. Edwin Esperanza, I’m so thankful for such an instrument of God for his non-stop guidance and support which gave way in completing this project. Also for his convenient process of passing our documents. To the Service Manager, Mr. Ferdinand Borromeo of Nissan Shaw, for your acceptance of me being one of the OJT is great help. To all the workers of Nissan Shaw, for your goodness and all the things you’re contributed to me to continue my journey. Most especially to my beloved parents whom with all their best face, the hardship of working hard just for me to educate, Today is not end of a time as some of us might be inclined to think. For there is truth in a day, as for me, soon I will find out that education is a lifetime process. Take heed therefore, not to rest on our hearts, for having today successfully finished the OJT. Maybe, we won the battle with today’s victory but the war isn’t. We should keep up the good work and thereafter when we should be pursuing our respective endeavour profession and occupation in the year ahead. To my mother who have faith in me and help me to inspire my studies, and help me in my problems, thank you. To all of you thanks a lot for your undying support given to me.
On the job training or OJT is one method by which students is given a chance to apply the theories and computations that they have learned from these school. It also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. Colleges and universities require their students to undergo such training within a specific number of hours as part of the curriculum. For the students, an OJT or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific job using the real tools, equipments and documents. In effect, the workplace becomes a development venue for a student trainee to learn more about his chosen field and practice what he has learned from the university. On the other hand, an effective OJT program also benefits the companies who accept trainees. First OJT or intern provides additional man-power for a lesser labor cost than a regular employee. Most of them are all eager to learn the ropes so chances are high that they will cooperate. Employers can use this internship strategy as a method in recruiting new employees. Since the trainer or the supervisor can follow the trainees’ progress he can gauge based on performance, behaviour, and attitude if the trainee will make a good recruit after the completion of his internship. it can bring fresh ideas into the organization. Given the opportunity to speak their minds freely and without fear, they maybe able to contribute significantly in brainstorming sessions or research and eventually help improve the organizations productivity. While training the interns, employers are in fact also teaching their employees to process of guiding the trainees stretches their patience, develops teaching skills...
