Company’s Profile
Historical Background
The Regional Consular Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs with jurisdiction of Region XII and SOCSKSARGEN (as mandated by executive Order No. 748), has commenced on 5 January 2009 in processing passport applications and other requests for consular service pursuant to Philippine Passport Act of 1996 and the migrant workers and Overseas Filipino Act 1995, as well as the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the establishment of RCO-XII was signed by Assistant Secretary Domingo D. Lucenario Jr. and Mayor Pedro Acharon Jr. of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the City Government of General Santos, respectively, on 22 December 2009. The MOA signifies the joint commitments of DFA and LGU-GenSan in facilitating accessibility of vital frontline services for the residents of Region XII and SOCSKSARGEN, as well as to its neighboring towns, which would in turn save the clients from incurring costly travel and other expenses in going to the nearest DFA regional office in Davao. The RCO-GenSan is currently located at Gaisano Compound, Lagao, General Santos City with telephone numbers (083) 5538380, (083) 8269089 and Email address rco.gsc@gmail.com.
