1st Period Of Mice And Men Themes (Loneliness) Although there are many themes to choose of I believe that loneliness is one theme I would like to talk about because it shows how some people felt, like when they lived back in the days when people would still discriminate others. Whether it was because they were black or because they couldn't talk to each other because they weren't the same class.
In the book
Of Mice And Men
I am going to use the theme loneliness because it was something that a couple of people had in the story. In the story
Of Mice And Men there were two main characters that were lonely, who wished that they weren't so lonely. These two people wished that they would have someone to talk to, so that they could express their feelings with others. For example, two people that felt lonely were
Crooks and Curley's Wife. Curley’s Wife had wide spaced eyes, her lips were full rouged, her fingernails were red, her hair hung in little rolled clushes, she wore a cotton house dress with red mules, feathers and her voice had a brittle nasal quality. Curley’s
Wife said “Well, I ain't givin you no trouble. Think I don't like to talk to somebody every’ once in a while? Think I like to stick in that house alla time? Candy laid the stump on his wrist on his knee and rubbed it gently with his hand. He said accusingly, “You gotta husban”. You got no call fooling’ around’ with other guys, causin trouble. “The girl flared up.” Sure I got a Husband you all seen him. Swell guy, ain't he?
