Reading Log : Of Mice and Men

Chapter one starts off with introducing two men, George Milton and Lennie Small. George Milton is usually the one to look out for Lennie because Lennie is know as “retarded”.Lennie Small is a huge man with resembling a bear by the way he walks and acts. Both George and Lennie are walking along a path near a pool of water towards a ranch where they can both find temporary work for the both of them. Lennie, without thinking, decides to drop the the floor near the water and start drinking. George then tries to warn Lennie that the water is probably not clean and unsanitary to be drinking. Which shows how Lennie does not really think before he does something. The reason of why they are headed towards this ranch that is because Lennie felt a girls skirt innocently thinking it was soft and both Lennie and George were chased out of town. Lennie has always loved to touch soft things which explains why he was petting a dead mouse in his pocket as they were walking down the path towards the ranch.later that day, George and Lennie finally settle down for the night and Lennie then asks George to repeat his dream of the future ranch that Him and Lennie would have together.

I think George will have a hard time with Lennie on the ranch and the ranch owners might not except Lennie to work on the ranch.

Chapter two starts off when George and Lennie show up at the farm the following morning. They get introduced to the old swamper, Candy who shows them their bunks and where they will be staying. The boss was pretty upset with them because they were supposed to be at the ranch that...
