Obama the Good, Bad, and Ugly
President Barack Obama is the 44th president of the United states twice elected. His family is composed of his father who is from Kenya and his mother who is from Kansas. He was raised by his grandfather and grandmother. He made his way through college with scholarships and student loans. He then moved to Chicago where he worked with the churches there to help rebuild the communities that were ruined by the steel plant closing. ("President Barack Obama."The White House. After he lead a voter registration dive, went back to Chicago and taught constitutional law and stayed active in his community. He passed the first major ethics reform in 25 years, cut takes for working families, and expanded healthcare for children and their parents. As a United States Senator, he passed a groundbreaking lobbying reform, locking up the world's most dangerous weapons, and brought clarity to government by putting federal spending online. In his first term, the president passed the landmark Affordable Care Act, helping to put quality healthcare within reach for more Americans. He ended the war in Iraq and is working to end the war in Afghanistan, passed the historic Wall Street reform to make sure taxpayers never had to bail out big banks, and cut taxes for every American worker. The President believes an economy that's built to last starts with a strong and growing middle class that’s why he has a plan to create jobs and restore economic security to working families. Not only those but some other things he did was signing the health care reform bill into law as well as signing the Wall Street reform bill into law.
On May 1, 2011 In a televised press conference, Obama announced to the world that al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has been killed in a raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan. This all started when in 2007 U.S intelligence uncovered the name of Bin Ladens most trusted couriers About 2009 the intelligence sources find the area of Pakistan where the courier and his brother lived. U.S. intelligence sources identifies the Abbottabad compound as the home of the courier and his brother. The men have no reason to own and live in a $1 million home. The CIA then informs President Barack Obama that bin Laden may be living in the Abbottabad compound. They based this on the size and price tag of the compound as well as the elaborate security. On March 14, 2011 Obama chairs the first of five National Security Council meetings to discuss a operation to raid bin Ladens compound and killing or capturing bin Laden. March 29, 2011 the second meeting occurred, April 12th and 19th held the third and fourth meeting then the 5th on April 28, 2011. At 8:20am EDT, President Obama gives the order to raid bin Laden's compound in Pakistan. Late in the evening of May 1, President Obama addresses the nation and announces that Osama bin Laden has been killed, calling it "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al Qaeda." In the early morning hours (approximately mid-afternoon on May 1st in the United States), a group of 25 Navy Seals raid the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
