High blood pressure is the health problem associated with my body there are certain nutritional needs that needs to be followed to keep the high blood pressure under control. Borderline high blood pressure is 140/90 and mine is always that or high my bottom number is never under 90 and that includes when I take my medicine. High blood pressure runs in my family starting with my aunt down to my grandmother, it affects the body heart, head, and daily life activities. To have high blood pressure means that there is pressure in the arteries that are vessels that carry the blood from the heart to the tissues and organs (Cunha., Marks, 1996). One of the affect that causes high blood pressure is you diet which means that type of foods that is eaten, protein. Having high blood pressure put a person in danger of having a stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, and damage of organs. Having high blood pressure also make people have stiffness, or resistance, in the peripheral arteries (Cunha., Mark, 1996). There are medicine as well as diets that treat high blood pressure some examples of medicine that belongs to me are lisinopril, amlodipine besylate, beta blockers, vasodilator, and rennin inhibitors are just to name a few. Ways to control high blood pressure are exercise regularly, lose extra pounds, eating healthy for, example keep a food diary, be a smart shopper and cut back on salt and fatty foods, and limit the amount of alcohol a person drink. When taking the blood pressure paying attention to the numbers is a very important thing to do, there is systolic that is the top number on a blood pressure monitor, the diastolic is the bottom number. A Normal blood pressure should be less than 120 for the top and less than 80 for the bottom.
