Nonparametric Hypothesis Testing Paper
The week two assignment involved One Sample Hypothesis Testing. In the third week the team used the Two or More Sample Hypothesis Testing using the same parameters as week two, and in week four, the team will use the Mann Whitney Nonparametric Hypothesis Test (M-W test) using the same parameters as in the previous weeks. The project this week is also a continuation of week two and week three projects, and the team will be using the same research question and will formulate the research hypothesis using the data set (Wage and Wage Earners). The team will use the use the M-W test to verify the hypothesis statement provided as the bases for the week two and week three.
Numerical and Verbal Hypothesis Statement
Education plays a major role in the determination of wages in society today. The people who have little or no education make far less than those who have a high school education or have continued their education and acquired an associates, bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree. By examining the wages of individuals from each demographic the income for each can be approximated giving them an estimated idea of their future income. The knowledge of wages is important because it allows individuals to plan financially for their futures. Using the information provided by the “Wages and Wage Earners Data Set,” Team C analyzes the three samples from the population that each consist of one hundred observations (from the Wages and Wage Earner Data Set). The Wages and Wage Earners Data Set was formulated by assessing 100 participants. This involved asking them about their wage. The answers reflected $30,000 per year, and the average age of each participant was 39, the majority worked in the manufacturing and construction industry.
