Justin Drew Bieber was born on March 1st 1994 on the second floor of St. Joseph’s hospital London, Ontario in room 126 at 12:56am, weighing a healthy 7pounds 11ounzes. Justin’s parents, Patricia Mallette and Jeremy Bieber were only teens when Justin was born and shortly after the birth of Justin, Pattie and Jeremy split but maintained a close friendship for Justin’s sake. Jeremy moved on a married Erin Wagner and had a further two children Jaxon Bieber now 3 years old and Jazmyn Bieber now aged 4 but Justin and Jeremy still have a close relationship.
Pattie raised Justin single handily with the help of her mother and step father Bruce and Diane Dale in Stratford, Ontario. Pattie and Justin lived in a small home and Justin slept on a blue pull out bed as they didn’t have very much money, Pattie worked a series of low-paying office jobs for them to barley survive. Pattie didn’t like asking people for help money wise so most days the single parent relied on a local food bank to feed herself and Justin. Interested in hockey, soccer, and chess, Justin kept his musical aspirations to himself, and as he grew up, Justin taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet.
In early 2007, at the age of 12, Justin entered into his local talent competition Stratford star and after singing various songs each week including '3AM' by Matchbox and 'Respect' by Aretha Franklin Justin was placed second. Justin's relatives who did not live in Stratford wanted to see Justin perform but couldn’t so Pattie decide to record and post the videos of Justin singing in the competition on YouTube for their family and friends to see not thinking anything of it. Soon Justin’s videos were getting 1000's of hits from people all over the world and people started to request songs for Justin to sing.
