Strategic Overview
The strategy that should be taken is to improve Nomad’s profit and preventing it from dropping again. Different options that may help reshaping the business processes will be examined and the best alternative would be adopted to improve business performance. Investigation into the business processes and company financial data has shown that the main reason for profit margin dropping was due to inefficiency in the policy terms of the company. A reengineering of the policy and business processes is needed in order for the company to achieve higher profit. Careful analysis should take place for the most appropriate solution to surface and solve Nomad’s current issues. The processes that are involved in this BPR project should include procurement management, customer order management, customer relationship management, inventory management, return management, and supplier management. Nomad’s top managers have already decided a strategy that is to separate the business out the B2C process out so that it is an independent business process by itself. Due to increased orders on the internet this step is necessary in order to make process time quicker and more accurate. A separate business process will be in place and be managed by a VP of B2C; the website will look exactly the same to the individual customers, but the internal business processes will be different and individual orders will be routed to the new process.

Though cutting costs is important, it is also essential for us to think about our stake holders at the same time.
