Although the Canadian market is a new market it is felt that particularly in the major cities such as Vancouver, Toronto, and Montréal the lightweight electric vehicles produced by Simicar will find a valued spot in those cities transportation needs. The Simicar company is in the process of setting up dealers across Canada and is expected to have 15 dealers in place at the official launch in October.
Simicar the vehicle division of the large steel and industrial production unit the Zan Yuan Corp, will be continuing its expansion worldwide with the addition of dealers in 22 more countries by the end of year 2014. Their product line currently consists of 12, two and 3 wheeled, cycle based battery powered vehicles. And three small mini cars two of which are battery powered, with one petrol engined auto. There also will be available two small battery-powered delivery vans, very similar to 600 cc style vans sold throughout Asia. The small delivery vans are very popular and crowded downtown areas because of their size they are able to make quick moderately sized deliveries much faster than full-size trucks can negotiate traffic. It is assumed that the small vans will be a major seller. They have a usable city range per charge of 100 km, or 60 miles. It is assumed that they can be operated on a daily basis for less than three dollars.
