1. The Organization

Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad or more popularly known as TV3 is the favourite TV station in Malaysia. Set up in 1984 as the first free to air commercial station it enjoyed good growth until in 1997 when it expanded too fast to invest into 22 subsidiaries and 4 associated companies.

The expansion was aimed towards making TV 3 self sufficient and to position TV3   to have a competitive edge. TV3 has always been profitable since its formation.   However, due to the economic slowdown experienced by Malaysia and other countries in Asia, TV3 recorded its first loss in 1998 and henceforth the years after that.
