My first article is titled “To the Wild Blue Yonder…” from the Let’s Go monthly publication dated January 2013. It is about the world‘s biggest seaplane that spends the winter in Arizona based out of Roosevelt Lake. The pilot, Carl Zink, is a third generation bush pilot from Alaska. During the summertime, the seaplane goes back to Alaska. It is news worthy because the world’s biggest seaplane offers tours in during the winter. It does not affect my family or me and we might go for a tour. I chose this article because I like big airplanes. My second article is titled “Model cars lead to a career” by Barb Charzuk from the Fountain Hills Times dated January 16, 2013. It is about a car designer named Ron Will. The article talks about his love of cars as a young boy and how a contest changed his life. He built a model car for the GM sponsored Fisher Body Craftsman Guild and won at age 15 in 1961. He worked for GM and Subaru before retiring in Fountain Hills. It is newsworthy because he retired to Fountain Hills. It does not affect my family or me. I chose this article because my dad likes cars. My third article is titled “Reality Chef Rescues Family Restaurant” by Barb Charzuk from the Fountain Hills Times dated January 30, 2013. It is about how Restaurant Impossible, a Food Network show, saved a family restaurant in Fountain Hills, AZ. It is newsworthy because it is a local family restaurant and it will be shown on TV. It does not affect my family or me but we might go try their food again. I chose this article because it is one of my dad’s...
