There are many different groups of people in the world. The european expansion left different impacts on America. First the spanish and french came to america, then later on the english came. These groups of people came here for various reasons. One thing these new groups of people did not know was that the indians already had been living in america for a long period of time. When the european expansion started, they wanted all the land to themselves, leaving little for the indians. Then america introduced when worlds clash.
The spanish came here for many reasons. They began the exploration of the new world in search of new lands to conquer and to discover precious metals. The Spanish had an empire that stretched from the West Indies, Central America, and Mexico to Florida and the Southwest of present-day. They believed mainly in “glory, gold, and god.”   Their success was aided by a variety of political, military, technological, and natural factors. A consequence of the interaction between the two worlds was the intercontinental exchange of people, animals, plants, disease, and cultures. The spanish tried to change the indians into christians, enslave them, and make them work in there plantations. The french built there empire in America on fur and fish trade. Throughtout history, the french is the group that had the most generous policy with the native americans. They traded customs and shared the same sport, fur trading, which lessened the pressure on the land and hunting ground. The english were above all interested in acquiring land of their own. Most englishmen looked at native americans as problems that had to be removed. The english came to america to settle down with their families.
The spanish reponse to the native americans was to enslave them, change them religiously, and or marry them. From the blending of native americans and spanish came new races in america. These races were known as the penninsulares, meztizos. The french relationship towards... [continues]
