In China, the overall development level of mining industry falls behind those in developed countries. These backwardness mainly reflect in the following aspects: 1. Lack of large scale mining enterprises. Medium and small-sized mining enterprises occupied the dominant position and adopts extensive development pattern with limited technology input. 2. Backward technology equipment of medium and small-sized mining enterprises. The level of technology equipment cannot be effectively improved and there is a serious problem of resource waste. 3. Security issue and environment issue. 4. Weak R&D ability and lack of innovation. In the process of mining globalization, there is a shortage of high-end engineering technology and management talent. 5. Lack of competitive and influential multinational corporations in international market. In view of the above circumstances, in order to realize the great leap forward development of mining industry and mining enterprises. Only by integration of industrialization and informatization can mining industry move towards intelligent mining goal.
