The Technology and World Wide Web (www) has changed human behaviour and interaction to a very large extent. Today Web based businesses, banking and e-shopping are the major examples to point out the trend in this direction. Keeping that view in mind the purpose of this research paper is to explain the network elements of online banking and online shopping, how both types of organizations are using networks to manage their businesses efficiently, what are the critical factors associated with their organizations and how can they overcome those challenges has also been discussed.
The sample has been drawn from Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Deals-Direct an online e-tailing business currently operating in Australia.
The findings suggest that any organization providing online services must also provide some important training to its users. It will not only make end-users safe but will also promote the organizations image.

Internet has made it very simple to carry out pretty hard and time consuming operations into quite easy, automated and quick way. However, in order to prevent any misuse and protect security and privacy, it is essential to have a secured and proficient architectural network model.
According to Visa International E-Commerce report of September 2009, 79% of Australian Internet users have shopped online in the past 12 months and it is expected to raise up-to 83% till 2010, similarly world international project report of 2008 reported that 55% of Australians use online banking every week. These high figures show how much internet has evolved our lives and how massive usage of internet is readily available. Moreover with these statistics it is obvious that it will continue to grow and we have to make it user-friendly, faster, secure and reliable for both the organizations and for the end-users.
In this research paper we have taken two Organizations Commonwealth Bank and Deals-Direct Pty. Ltd. Commonwealth Bank is one of the largest Banks of Australia and is working all around the world, whereas Deals-Direct is an online shopping small and medium organization with approximately 90 Employees; currently operating in Australia.
Moreover several aspects of online interaction of consumer with the Banks will be explored. There ways of communication, touch-points, security and the technology that is being used in that interactive media. Other factors which we would discuss are how third party business partners are connected with the organizations and how can they communicate directly unlike public networks.
