RESULTS / PERFORMANCE
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to present the Annual Report of Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad for the ﬁnancial year ended 31 December 2010. We started the year on a good note, thanks to the positive growth in the global economy, particularly the signiﬁcant recovery process of the Malaysian economy. Through proper planning and prudent Government economic policies, we saw the Malaysian economy expanding by 8.1% in the ﬁrst nine months, and ending with 7.2% growth for the full year.
Bank Negara was very vigilant on the external uncertainties and took the necessary measures in governing its monetary policies to protect and support the country’s economic growth. As a result, the Ringgit performed very well in 2010 and was among the league of notable strong currencies for the year. The New Economic...
