The most significant thing I learned last week was that I am able to take any given situation, as simple or complex it can be, and be able to analyze it thoroughly. By utilizing the IDDP (Identify, Differentiate, Determine, Predict) Structured Thinking Process, I am able to identify problems, recognize situations from what I have learned in class, differentiate an action appropriate or in appropriate, make a prediction, and I can determine what should be done in order to have a positive outcome based on all the information that I collect. My "aha" moment was when we began the Capstone Case Study last week that involved Air Force Logistics personnel and how they exercised their Air Force core values. As I read the first storyline, I wanted to immediately focus on just Airman Bellow's personality. I noticed that he was not practicing the Air Force core values to the fullest. I will admit that at first glance, I thought that other characters mentioned were insignificant. As we reviewed the storyline and our facilitators wanting more information, I was then able to re-notice these characters. My classmates and I had noticed that the author was not only describing an image of what as going on, but how each person in the story related to the core values or relate to Air Force Culture. For example, I thought TSgt Futario was just an introductory character used to paint a mental picture of the base everyone was working at. By digging deeper, we noticed that he is exhibiting Air Force culture and heritage. TSgt Futario considers his accomplishment not just for the Air Force for which he has served for 13 years, but for the entire military. The base seems to have been combined with all other branches of the military such as the Army by the description of the Air Force F-16s and Army "Chinook" helicopters. With this merger in mind, one can extrapolate the base will not only have an Air Force culture, but a mixed military culture. The most frustrating part of last
