College Football vs. National Football League
The intensity, physical contact, and unity make football one of the most exciting sports to watch. Being in a country that is filled with football we are able to watch many different levels of football. Football fans can watch anywhere from high school football to pro football on television. If a football fan would like to watch games with more meaning and more spirit then college football would be the choice to watch.
College football or NCAAFB (National collegiate athletic association football) has more spirit and meaning behind each game than the National Football League. In college football there is a BCS system in which the best team calculated by media polls, coach polls, strength of schedule, and computer ratings. The best team calculated by the BCS system will then play the second best team calculated by the system for the national championship at the end of the year. Whereas in the NFL there are 32 teams split into two conferences where the best six teams in each conference play in a single elimination playoff system for the championship or better known as the Super Bowl. Making the national championship, system wise, is more difficult to achieve.
Teams in college football need to have the best rankings in order to make the championship which make every game a live or die situation game. If the team wins they have another week with a chance to make the national championship but where if they lose then the national championship hopes are more than likely over. Not only do the collegiate players play to win but they play to represent the college they go to and have an entire college town backing the team the athlete plays for. Unlike NFL players, college athletes do not get paid. NFL players have a mix of players who play for different reasons.
