It would obviously be injustice not to mention the name of people involved to make this report possible and helped their utmost to make us understand the overall operation of the company as of their best knowledge. Our special thanks to Mr. Vijay Kumar Maghnani (Manager of National Bank of Pakistan Defence Housing Society Branch Karachi), for his all help and support to us,we are very thankful for his co-operation and we also want to thanks some other employees of this branch for their co-operation.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Our term report is all about departmentalization of organization. We selected National Bank of Pakistan for our term report. It is one of the leading bank of Pakistan.In banking industries it has approximately 1250 nations and almost 22 branches operating in other countries including USA, China, France, Hongkong etc. It has maximum coverage with online banking throughout Pakistan. It is a part of State Bank of Pakistan which is its major strength. As far as our topic is concerned, we described five common forms of departments present in NBP such as functional, geographic, product, process and customer departments. We also describe the vision/mission statement, swot analysis and organizational chart of the NBP.

INTRODUCTION TO ORGANIZATION
The organization which we selected is National Bank of Pakistan. National Bank of Pakistan is the employees of choice. The whole NBP family comprises of committed and dedicated members with passion to serve in their respective functional area. The bank has challenging work environment with merit and performance helps the individual to explore their true potential. As a caring employer, the bank enables the employees to excellent grow, highly congenial employment condition and culture. The career path is full of challenging and opportunities. The bank has absolutely open culture where members share and communicate freely. The NBP was established on Nov, 29th 1949, as a semi-public commercial bank. The bank has the distinction of acting agent of State Bank of Pakistan and operates treasuries where the State Bank of Pakistan does not have any office. The head office of bank is at Karachi, ever since established in 1949. It has been leading commercial bank of the nation sole agent of the government of Pakistan better trade with countries and of State Bank of Pakistan for the government treasury. It is the largest commercial bank operating in Pakistan. Its balance sheet surpasses that any of the other bank functioning locally. It has redefined its role and has moved from public sector organization. The bank services are available to individual co-operate entities and government. NBP is today a progressive, efficient and customer focused institution. It has developed wide range of consumer’s products to enhance business and cater to the different segment of the society.
