J.P. Morgan was an American financer, banker and art collector who dominated corporate finance and industrial consolidation during his time.

J.P. Morgan connects to Native Son in which he was an imaginary character played by Bigger Thomas’s friend, Gus. J.P. Morgan portrays a way how they both believed white people acted in life.

Trader Horn (movie) is the first non-documentary film shot on location in Africa. The 1931 movie tells the adventures of real-life trader and adventurer Alfred Aloysius “Trader” Horn on safari in Africa.

Trader Horn (movie) connects to Native Son because in the movie, a native son was saved by a white girl who was missing to a missionary man. In the novel, Bigger was saved by Mr. Dalton who helped Bigger with his family stat by giving him a job.

Scottsboro Boys Case is the case in which nine African Americans boys were convicted with the charge of gang-raping two girls, Victoria Price (19) and Ruby Bates (17) on a Memphis bound train. The nine boys were found guilty: eight, including two aged 14, were sentenced to death and the youngest man, who was only thirteen, was given life of imprisonment.

The Scottsboro Boys Case connects to Native Son in which the value for young misguided characters like Bigger has seen a black man being accused of rape just for being in a white woman’s bedroom so this made Bigger do what he did to Mary in order for him to not be accused of rape.

Communist is a member of a Communist party or member. A communist is a person who is regarded as supporting politically leftist or subversive causes.

A communist connects to Native Son because Mary’s boyfriend, Jan, is a communist and in the end Bigger accused Jan for Mary’s death, but after the truth being set, Jan understood what is like being or being like black people and understood why Bigger did what he did and offered to help him.
