We have chosen the topic of the Black Panther Party, for our history fair topic. The Black Panther party is a perfect example of a revolution in history. The Black Panthers Were founded in was founded in 1966 by Bobby Seale and Huey Newton. The original reason for the party was an organization created to protect African American neighborhoods from police brutality. In turn it became. The Black Panthers were heavily into Black Empowerment. It was a political revolution for the advancement of blacks. The Black Panther party were all for Black Nationalism. We used several resources to conduct our research. We used books, and old newspapers articles that we found online. We learned things like the Black Panther party had, 26 Rules that they lived by every single day. During the research we also discovered that the Black Panther’s regulated their party member’s alcohol, drug use and their actions. Panther slogans also were also spread all over the world because of their popularity. The internet played a major role in our research. We found several major web sites that gave a surplus of information on the Black Panthers. We chose to do the exhibit because we wanted to show our creativity. The exhibit gives us a chance to be hands on with our work and show all the hard work we have done. We used borders and facts to decorate our board. Along with facts we used pictures and quotes from the Black panthers. The quotes were from their beliefs and the ten point program that they have. The board that we used was a large trifold. The black panthers had a lot of information on them. We have learned so much from working on this project. The project relates to the theme because it is an example of a revolution.
